VR Walkabouts

Experiential learning right in your classroom! Want your students to descend into a WWI trench? Or stand atop a Mayan pyramid in 850 CE? How about climbing aboard a Viking longship? Capture their imaginations with dozens of transportive, historically accurate experiences that offer myriad opportunities for exploration. Scenes come complete with prompts to stimulate critical thinking, checks for understanding, and self-driven research.

Standards-Aligned Reporting

Our quizzes, integrated at the end of each scaffolded, Lexile-aligned reading supplement, offer immediate checks for understanding. Designed to support Social Studies, WIDA, and Literacy standards, these quizzes auto-grade and provide instant feedback to both students and teachers. This streamlined system allows educators to quickly assess student growth through detailed reporting that tracks student progress, offering valuable insights into performance across each standard. Activities within each lesson are viewable by specific standard strands, allowing teachers additional flexibility in tailoring lessons based on those standards they may wish to emphasize or address.

Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.

– Ibn Battuta, Moroccan scholar and explorer

I am so happy that In the Footsteps has created a way for young people to interact and learn about the world and its history, cultures, and geography. In an era of travel bans and stereotypes, I cannot think of a better way for us to bring peace to our planet as we ready the next generation to define the world they live in.
